Co-located on the Permaswage USA campus, these three companies manufacture standard fluid fittings and precision machined tube connectors.

Engineering Capabilities

Airdrome Precision components supports Make from Solid Technology™, MFS™, which is an alternative to welded, bent tube assemblies. MFS™ is used to manufacture a complex shape from a single billet of material. It lowers cost, lead time, and weight by eliminating  welds and associated inspections and by allowing for a constant, minimum wall thickness in complex shapes.

Permaswage® System

PERMASWAGE® is a tube connecting system that mechanically attaches a Permaswage fitting to a tube by radial swaging. The system is used to make permanent connections between metal tubes.

The process works by deforming the metal fitting onto a tube radially, 360° around the circumference using the Permaswage Lightweight Tool (DLT). The interference between the fitting and tube produces a leak resistant seal that is structurally sound.

This system can be used to produce new tubing systems or to repair existing ones. Because the system is portable, it can be used in the field as well as at the user's facility.

Permalite® System

PERMALITE® is a tube fitting that is mechanically attached to the tube by axial swaging. Permalite works by deforming the fitting into the tube being joined by moving a ring, a component of the Permalite fitting, axially along the fitting length using a Permaswage Axial Swage Tool (DAT).

Miniature End Fitting Series

Miniature End Fitting (DME/PME) is a tube fitting that is mechanically attached to the end of a tube by
axially swaging. It works by swaging the fitting onto the tube using a Miniature End Fitting Tool
(DET). This produces an interference fit between fitting and tube resulting in a leak-free metal-to-metal seal.

Highly Resistive Union (HRU) Insulative Fitting

HRU conforms to OEM requirements in providing insulation resistance to lightning strike and control of electrostatic buildup in applications up to 5,080 psi in union or bulkhead configurations. The integrally attached fitting ends are available in aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium. Key features and benefits inlcude:

• Reduced fitting weight, better fit or handling for application
• Allows installation directly to tubing without adapters or modifications
• Allows selection of desired tube alloy to ensure galvanic compatibility

Hose

Permaswage hose is manufactured for hydraulic, oil, cooling, and fuel system applications with the following specifications:

• Operating temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit
• Service pressures up to 3,000 psi.
• Diameters from 1 to 2.5-inch
• MS standard ends in separable bolted or thread connections
• Oil and fuel resistant inner tube
• Single wire braid/single cotton braid reinforcement
• Outer cover of oil and fuel resistant synthetic impregnated cotton braid

Through its Nelson Aerospace subsidiary, Permaswage manufactures an extensive line of AN, AS, MS, NAS, and specialty fluid fittings.

Swivels

Hydraulic swivels are fluid pivot connectors. They permit relative movement and rotation and provide a sealed flow path for hydraulic media. They are connected to tubes by either permanent or separable connections.

Our quality systems are ISO-AS/EN 9100 approved and Nadcap accredited.

Airdrome Precision / Faber Enterprises / Nelson Aerospace

As part of the PCC Fluid Products Group, these companies share the same quality manual and process controls as Permaswage including ISO-AS/EN 9100 quality approvals and Nadcap accredited processes (PRI-NADCAP AS7112).

All products are manufactured using 100% Statistical Process Control (SPC), with operators empowered to shut down processes if a minimum 1.66Cpk is not maintained.

This assures each and every piece within a lot meets drawing requirements – and in fact, hits nominal tolerances as opposed to using the entire tolerance band.  What you get are consistent parts with minimal part to part variation.
